Intro to Project Planning

by Movement Strategy Center, Californians for Justice

Intended Audience:  High School youth chapter members or smaller chapter leadership core. 

For new or emerging High School youth chapters.

Level of difficulty:  Introductory

Curriculum (1 hour each, divided into two 30 min sessions - lunch, or afterschool):

·      To understand SMART goals.

·      To use SMART goals to plan a project.

Intro to Campaigns Part III (Tactics and Alliances)

Intended Audience:  High School youth chapter members or smaller chapter leadership core. 

For new or emerging High School youth chapters.

Level of difficulty:  Introductory

Curriculum (1 hour each, divided into two 30 min sessions - lunch, or afterschool):

  • To deepen participant’s knowledge of direct action tactics.
  • To understand to the role of alliances in organizing work and movement building.

Intro to Campaigns Part II (Strategy)

Goals:

  • To introduce participants to key organizing strategy concepts and definitions.
  • To have participants begin to develop a basic strategy by identifying different elements for their campaign.

Intro to Campaigns Part I (Campaign Steps)

  • To introduce participants to community mapping as a tool for identifying campaign issues.

Intro to Action Research
