Tierra Viva was a grassroots base-building organization for environmental justice in San Jose. Tierra Viva’s mission was to educate, organize and develop the skills of low-income Latina women to work for healthy, sustainable environments where they live, work, pray, play and go to schooo. Tierra Viva was a project of the Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition. The curriculum “Uncovering Who We Are” listed here aims to uncover the many aspects of a low-income Latina immigrant woman’s life.
